CARING FOR YOUR SKW STRANDS
- Only professional hair care products should be used on the extensions. Any other hair care products must be approved by stylist prior to use.
- Must use a sulfate free shampoo and a leave-in conditioner/de-tangler.
- Flexible hold hairspray only.
- Keep washing to a maximum of 1-2 times per week. Consider washing the top of your hair more often if needed.
- Minimal use of texturizing products and oils on the extension hair.
- Use an SKW Extensions brush or a Wet Brush only. May use a round brush only to smooth out the ends of extensions. Avoid a round brush near the extension track. You may use a round brush on your own hair for added volume in the crown area. Brush the extensions several times daily. Support the extensions at the scalp while brushing.
- No pulling or tugging on the hair.
- Braid hair for sleeping. Do NOT sleep on wet extensions.
- Do not get sunscreen on the extensions.
- Avoid getting the hair wet in a pool or salt water. This will dry out the hair and may cause tangling. Use conditioning treatments while on a beach vacation.
